Conquering Bukit Broga - Small Hill But Big Achievement

It's has been one of my small dreams to climb up on top of Bukit Broga in Semenyih. The idea of reaching the top has been plying in my head for sometimes now. So when Petulia mooted the idea of climbing that hill in our what'sapp chat group, I was really attracted to it.

On Thursday, she was what'sapping in the chat group confirming how many people were going and where to meet. I was really excited and joined the chat informing that I'm might be joining them there. They were really excited on hearing my intention to join their trip.

Since Friday is a Public Holiday (Wesak Day), I thought hey why not I join them. More so when Along and Mimi wanted to join me as well. But the challenge is waking up before 4am and leave the house by 4.30am so that we can meet by 5.30am somewhere in Semenyih town.

Well as they said : Pictures show thousand words. Now we managed to snapped some pictures to depict our success of conquering Bukit Broga.

By the way, Peter ordered Nasi Lemak, Nasi Beriyani & 2 half-boiled eggs.

 Overall, I would consider that it was a successful and enjoyable trip to Bukit Broga. Well you may want to consider well prepared to avoid over exhaustion. Bring some bottle waters and maybe eat something first before going up there. It's best not to go during raining seasons because the track would be real slippery and maybe dangerous to some people. Do wear the right clothing and shoes as well.

Wedding Azhar in Kemaman: Day 2

Woke up early since we plan to move to the Mosque by 9.30am cos the solemnization suppose to start at 10.am. Had simple breakfast : sandwiches, roti canai, Nasi Dagang left over, etc.

Got all the Hantaran ready - most of them were actually prepared by the Groom's side. This arrangement were made earlier because of the distance - we can't be carrying the Hantaran all the way from KL.

We arrived at the designated location in time as being arranged by both parties. The groom's side invited us into the Mosque. Everything went pretty well. Even the Juru Nikah made it as simple as possible. I guess it should be that way because the intention is good - as the saying goes it's like to build a mosque!

The Groom was quite pretty as that was the 1st time I saw her. I guess that what makes my nephew's heart melts instantly when he saw he.

The simple ceremony went smoothly in a jiffy. By about 11.00 am, everything was completed. We were then invited to the groom's house which was few minutes away from the mosque. I saw that the kampung's environment was still there. Everyone was helping out for the Kenduri. I guess they were the relatives of the groom.

After the Solemnization ceremony, we proceed to the
groom's house nearby.

By 12.30 pm, the ceremony were complete. We then make our way home back to KL.

To my nephew and niece-in-law, I Congratulate you for finding each other. May ALLAH blessed your marriage until the end of the world. Insya'allah.

Ole Ole Bandung - 3 ~ 6 June 2010

It has been quite a while that we have not gone for a holidays as a family. Hence a trip to Bandung would be a great idea - after all with the cheap tickets really helps.

So almost 20 of us decided to have a break by going to Bandung.

Our flight was on Thursday 3 June 2010, morning at 9.20am and arrived at 12.00 noon or 11.00 am Bandung time. The weather has been good to us.

Well pictures paint a thousand words. So I don't have to tell every details here except you can see how we enjoyed our trip there thru' these pictures.

On second day, we planned to go for a 3 hours journey from Bandung to Taman Safari Indonesia. Long hours in the van but well worth it.

Once we entered the Safari, then the experience begins. Awesome place with open air zoo where the animals roams around freely. The children really enjoys this experience - so do the adults.

We spend hours in the Safari until its time to go back. On the way, we stopped at Puncak, a place similar to Cameron Highland - cool air and greenery all around. We stopped nearby a mosque to pray. This is the first time ever that I been to a mosques built on a hill top overseeing the whole valley. Really a great sight.

We started our 2nd day by preparing some breakfast on our own. So came out the roti canai segera, rendang daging, rendang ayam, sambal ikan bilis & sardin. Wow what a breakfast.

feeding at the Safari.

Then our 3rd day shopping begin. This time at Pasar Baru. Mak oi besar nya. It was a 7 floors of shopping complex with hundred of shops. You can't finish them in one day if you go from shop to shop. believe me.

Mimi trying to find dress that suits her. It's either its slightly
expensive or it doesn't fit her.


Of course lah, Ayah also want to shop for himself.

That night Abang invited us to have dinner at Kg Daun. It a place about 45 mins drive from Bandung. But due to the bad road condition and very narrow, we felt it was a really long journey. But the place is extraordinaire. Really a nice place and lots of people went there. You need to book first or else you can't find a place.

Since we arrive about 8pm and was dark, I could get clear pics. Hence to give you some idea of how it looks like, I've downloaded some pics from the net.

We have to leave Badung on the 4th day. Flight at 12.00 noon. Hence everyone has to be read by 10am to leave for the airport.

Goodbye Badung. It was a great trip for us as family. We really enjoyed our trip there and thanks to everyone for helping us to experience a great shopping adventure there. Maybe next trip we go somewhere else. Adios!
